HELLO

With a lifetime of creative experience and passion, I am thrilled to be imparting my knowledge with you. From small projects all the way up to full house redesigns, I have spent years discovering what can be accomplished through design - let's explore it together!

My Story

I am excited to be sharing my lifelong passion for design with you!  I have always been creative and this has shown itself in many projects over the years.  I am formally trained as a Jeweller, and have a first-class BA(Hons) and a Masters degree in Jewellery and Silversmithing from the UK. I was born in Oxford, England and have lived in various towns and cities 'across the pond' as well as Kenya, and now Seattle. These have all proven to be places of great beauty and inspiration to say the least; From the architecture and history of Oxford, to the vibrant culture of Africa which has a way of getting under your skin!  To experience all this, and then the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest, is a feast for the senses!

I have managed the renovation of several houses over the years, including an 18th Century farmhouse in England and an old colonial house in Kenya.  I have designed and implemented structural changes (with the help of the appropriate experts), that allow for a better use of the space, as well as several kitchens and bathrooms and all that that entails.  I enjoy designing outdoor spaces as well and have completed landscaping projects encompassing border design, decking and storage solutions.  I have been known to get my hands dirty on many occasions! This brings a particular understanding of the technical requirements that need to be considered in the design process. It has to be beautiful; but it must be functional!

I am intrigued by colour and fascinated by the effects it has on our environment and mood. I am a stickler for detail, (hence the jewellery training) and pride myself on very high standards of work. I strive to do my best on everything that I tackle, and you will find me to be authentic and approachable.

I think being a designer for others is akin to being a therapist!  Listening, interpreting and helping you decide what works for you is my main goal. To see a project come to fruition, where I have done my upmost to deliver your vision, is what I offer, and open communication is the only way to achieve this. A sense of humour is also vital, and I do possess this; albeit a British version ;-)

I enjoy nothing more than talking with others about their design ideas, wants and needs and welcome any discussion about your projects; whether large or small, defined or vague! If you are curious about the possibilities, please reach out and let's see where it leads....
